ORGANIC AND FAIR TRADE

Our organic coffee is produced without artificial chemical substances, such as certain additives or some pesticides and herbicides. Organic coffee crops are overseen by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the US. These standards discourage using chemicals on cropland within three years preceding the harvest in question. This means that not all USDA-certified organic products are necessarily free of chemical residues. Coffees grown and produced using fair trade practices help producers in developing countries achieve sustainable and equitable trade relationships. The fair trade movement members add the payment of higher prices to exporters to improve social and environmental standards. Fair trade organizations, backed by consumers, actively support producers, raise awareness, and campaign for changes in conventional international trade rules and practices.
